3D-printed ammo storage and TPU seals explained
Materials and construction affect how a storage accessory feels and how it fits into your routine. Round Vault combines 3D-printed construction with a flexible TPU gasket. Stackable Vault has no gasket and is not waterproof. Understanding those two features makes it easier to compare the products without relying on broad performance claims.
Why the holder’s layout matters
A purpose-built ammo holder gives the contents a defined arrangement. Individual positions help separate rounds, while the overall shape determines how the holder sits within your storage space. The lid provides another opportunity for clear caliber identification.
BattleBox uses 3D printing to produce its holders and storage products. The method supports the distinct shapes and organized layouts shown in the collection. It is still important to check each product’s final dimensions and configuration: a manufacturing method alone does not establish capacity or fit.
What a TPU gasket does
Round Vault uses a flexible TPU gasket in its sealing system. The gasket helps create a seal between the product’s mating surfaces when the lid is properly closed. In this application, it is intended to help keep moisture out.
A gasket is one part of the complete product. Its performance depends on the design, condition and closure of the container around it. Follow the product-specific guidance supplied with the finished item, and check that the sealing surfaces are clean before closing the lid.
Read moisture-protection claims carefully
A description such as “sealed” does not, by itself, tell you how a container was tested. If a particular use depends on a stated water-resistance level, look for the exact rating, test conditions and limits in the product documentation.
Round Vault’s TPU gasket is designed to help keep moisture out. Do not assume a sealed container is suitable for submersion. Check the specifications and ask the team if your intended storage environment has requirements that are not covered.
Check care guidance for the finished product
Before cleaning a holder or exposing it to a demanding environment, read the instructions for the particular model. The material used for the body, the gasket and the product’s construction all matter. Do not infer a cleaning method or temperature rating from the term “3D printed.”
Keep visible caliber markings readable and inspect Round Vault’s lid and gasket as part of normal use. If something appears damaged or does not close as expected, contact the team about the product rather than assuming that it will perform the same way. Product-specific care information will be provided before ordering opens.
Choose based on published specifications
For a useful comparison, look at caliber configuration, round capacity, external dimensions, available colors, materials and care instructions together. Then consider shipping and return details. These concrete specifications matter more than general claims about toughness.
