Waterproof vs. water-resistant ammo storage: what to check
Moisture protection is a product-specific feature. A gasket, a tight-looking lid or a rugged photograph does not tell you the full limits of a container. Compare the stated use conditions and any published testing before choosing storage.
Read beyond the label
Water-resistant describes resistance to water under stated conditions; it does not by itself establish immersion protection. For any waterproof claim, look for the closure requirements and any stated test depth, duration or rating. Do not infer a certification that the manufacturer has not published.
BattleBox describes Round Vault as waterproof when properly closed with its TPU gasket. No certified immersion rating is published, so the product should not be selected on an assumption of tested depth or duration.
Know which BattleBox product has a gasket
Round Vault incorporates a flexible TPU gasket into its closure. Keep the sealing surfaces clean and close the lid fully. If the gasket or closure appears damaged, ask BattleBox for product-specific guidance before relying on the seal.
Stackable Vault is an unsealed sliding-tray organizer. It is not waterproof and does not have a TPU gasket. Its benefit is arranging and identifying containers in a dry storage location.
Treat storage conditions separately from the closure
A closed container does not correct moisture already present inside it. Keep the organizer clean and dry before use and follow the ammunition manufacturer’s storage guidance. Do not assume that a gasket makes a product fireproof, heatproof or a substitute for secure storage.
BattleBox products are 3D-printed storage accessories. Product-specific care and material limits matter when choosing where to keep them; ask about an environment that is not addressed in the published specifications.
Ask the questions that affect your choice
Confirm whether you need a compact sealed holder or a stackable tray, then check the exact caliber, capacity and dimensions. Ask about any required protection rating before ordering instead of treating all sealed boxes as interchangeable.
